The Benson Foundation is an international organization that seeks to create a new and improved social and economic order within the health and education sectors through our volunteer programs.
The Benson Foundation is passionate about building, supporting, and developing the education and health sectors in Ghana because we believe that education is the key to development and a better future for all. Nonetheless, in order to have a better future, one needs to be in a good physical, emotional, and mental health state to enjoy the educational benefits and privileges. With these two institutions being related, we desire to serve both sectors so that we can provide a quality outcome for the Ghanaian communities we serve and the partnerships established throughout cape coast and its surrounding areas.
Irrespective of our most affordable program participation cost, we also offer the highest of maximum volunteer program experience through exceptional customer service and safety. As a result, our screening process is very strict and more detailed for selection.
The Mission & Vision
Mission
The Benson Foundation's mission is to provide an affordable platform for individual and group volunteers, missionaries, charitable organizations, and other organizations that believe in dedication, hard work, and commitment to changing lives in the health and education sectors. In addition to contributing to achieving our mission, we have made it affordable for individuals who wish to get involved in this mission of ours in making our community a better place for us but more so, for the less privileged.
Vision
The Benson Foundation, through its strong volunteer network, donors and partners aspires to turn compassion into action to achieve the following vision;
- Provide clerical, administrative, and volunteer support for hardworking and dedicated non profit organizations in Ghana (specifically) and around the world.
-Be able to provide over 2 million kids with school supplies by the year 2022.
-Support/Sponsor as many volunteers as possible from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Sweden, Australia, and all around the world who may not be able to afford the program fees so that they may be able to travel and volunteer at an affordable program fee (after orientation and a short interview with interested applicants).
-Provide health care for the underprivileged in Ghana through volunteer health programs.
-Promote education and advocate the importance of education to the development of oneself and the community as a whole.
Our Vision is to be the backbone of grass-root organizations that are helping build a better future for the community and dedicated, enthusiastic, and dynamic volunteers by providing them with the needed tools, support, direction, and motivation.
Fundamental Principles of The Benson Foundation
HUMANITY
The Benson Foundation, born of a desire to bring assistance without discrimination to project volunteers and organizations in a way to prevent and alleviate human (health and education aspects) suffering in Ghana and wherever it may be found. Its purpose is to protect life and health and to ensure respect through education for the human race. We promote mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace amongst all peoples, communities,and groups.
NEUTRALITY
In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, The Benson Foundation may not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.
INDEPENDENCE
The Benson Foundation is independent. The national societies, while auxiliaries in the humanitarian services and subject to the laws of our respective country, will always maintain our autonomy so that we may be able, at all times, to act in accordance with The Benson Foundation principles.
VOLUNTARY SERVICE
The Benson Foundation is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain.
